The members of Brookhaven Fire Company Supports Chester Water Authority (CWA) in their quest to prevent a HOSTILE TAKE OVER by Aqua America, to be the water supplier to the Borough of Brookhaven. CWA has ALWAYS provided the Borough with the finest water distribution system and fire hydrant system to the Borough. CWA Lawyer Francis Catania came to the Borough Council Meeting last night giving details of the possible HOSTILE TAKE OVER of CWA by Aqua to Council and Residents that filled the Council Room to Max capacity. WE as firefighters and residents of the Borough can only Hope to stop this take over form happening. PLEASE GET INVOLVED and notify the elected officials below and ask them if they support CWA. Get the answers from them. They are the only ones who can stop this from happening; Please share this with everyone. Yesterday at 1736hrs, Quint 52 along with Company 57 Upland Fire Company were dispatched to the 800-blk. of Upland Ave. To assist local police and US Marshals in laddering the building to check for a wanted subject. Quint 52 laddered the top of the building. US Marshals as well as local police proceeded to the roof top where this subject was attempting to hide. Yesterday at 1609hrs, Rescue 52 was dispatched to assist Company 7 Ridley Park Fire Department in the 100-blk. of W. Ridley Ave. For a 3rd alarm working building fire with entrapment. Rescue 52 with a crew of 5 responded on the 3rd alarm assignment. Crews assisted with fire suppression and extensive overhaul. The Rescue was on scene for approximately 2 hours.
Today, Squad 52 with a crew of 5 covered Station 66 (Bethel Twp. Hose Co.#1) while they take some time off to mourn the loss of one of their own. Brookhaven Fire Company regrets to announce the death of Past Assistant Chief Robert Morgan. Bobby was a Life Member of Brookhaven Fire Company and held the following positions as Foreman, Captain, Assistant Chief, Training Officer, Fire Company President and Secretary; Bob also served on many committees. At 1127hrs, Company 52 was dispatched to the 200blk. of 12th St. in Upland Borough for a reported building fire. Quint, Rescue, and Ambulance 52 copy and responded to the scene from a prior AFA. Upon arrival of police, it was reported that there was fire evident on the second floor and the incident was upgraded to a working fire. This morning, at 0900hrs, Companies 52 and 50 (Middletown Fire Company No. 1) were dispatched to Chester Creek Rd. & Dutton Mill Rd. for an accident with entrapment with the vehicle reportedly overturned. Upon arrival, Medic 100 (Crozer EMS) confirmed the report of one trapped. Rescue 52 arrived on scene and started stabilization of the vehicle and extrication of the patient. Last night, the company held it’s annual awards banquet at the Austin Room in Chichester. Members enjoyed dinner, dancing, and a whole lot of fun.
